Very inexpensive scale. The plastic is a little flimsy and the tray just sits on top. It seems more than sufficient for an entry-level model. I expect it to work indefinitely for my needs if I don't drop it. I like that this scale does not require batteries. So far I have used this scale to measure flour and meat. I remove the steel pan and use the measuring cups for measurements other than meat. The scale is stable when you place what you are measuring as close to the center as possible (this is how any scale should be used). On the underside, my fingers can't fit where the adjustment screw is, so the scale is tricky. (I have huge fingers.)
