Review on ๐Ÿ–ค KST COATING Black Butyl Tape, 2-inch x 42-inch for Enhanced SEO by Joshua Coulter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for installing solar panels for rooftop security cameras.

The solar panel for my security camera could not be installed on the west side of the house as the sun obviously rises from the east. So I had to mount the camera on the west aim point side and figure out how to mount the solar panel to sunrise (east). To do this I had to install a small 5W solar panel for the security cameras on the roof above the camera facing east toward sunrise. I just cut out a small square to cover the base of the camera stand and drill the holes. As you drill, the screws grab the resin and twist it into the screw hole, making it completely waterproof and the post very strong. It will be more secure as the weather warms up and the tape melts everything in place. I learned this technique while installing satellite dishes. This is what technicians do when they drill holes under the base of a panel to prevent it from leaking. Leakage complaints arise when the underside of the panels are drilled into the roof if irresponsible technicians don't bother using bitumen tape like this.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Negligible maintainability
