I am using this cable to connect a Dell Latitude E Series laptop to a 50" Samsung Plasma HDTV to connect. The Latitude doesn't have an HDMI port, but luckily it has a DisplayPort connector on the back that's just as good (takes care of both audio and video!). TV has HDMI male to male cable so I only needed this adapter for my Latitude laptop. This particular adapter had a nice, secure DisplayPort connector that holds up really well (you have to press the button down to release the cable so it connects securely enough). . In terms of picture quality, it's just as crisp and clear as when you connect other laptops directly with an HDMI cable. Now I can stream Full HD audio and video to my 50 inch HD TV with this. Revain's price is also very good (I bought it for $16 with Revain Prime 2-day shipping).
