Inspired by Peter F, I took one of these apart to get good photos of the connector "guts". The build quality is excellent with tight tolerances, which is why it took so long to get one apart without destroying it. There is a healthy copper bar in the wire contact area, which you can technically get out, but not when it's in the plastic housing. The bottom molding has a CE stamp, but nothing from UL. I agree with Peter's observation that if you use 14 AWG or larger wire, then you should have no problems with the voltage creep distance over the internal partitions.I wanted to use this at 277 VAC, which will be fine. I find that a lot of 277 VAC UL products use relays stamped 250 VAC; reading their data sheets they are really 300 VAC, but since UL only have a 250 VAC and 600 VAC standard, they rated them lower. IEC has a 300 VAC standard, so Lutron and Crestron get their UL testing done (and pass) with 250 VAC labelled relays. Anyway, it's just something to be aware of.I wouldn't hesitate to use this at 277 VAC with 12 AWG wire, but if they want to try for UL, then they'll need to change their minimum wire size from 0.08 mm2 (18 AWG) to 14 AWG or 12 AWG (2.5 mm2). These are nice and clean for a 3-conductor splice where you want to be able to disconnect in the future, say versus a butt splice.
