I bought this replacement camera after lending mine to someone who returned it broken. The original bladder was amazing - easy to clean and had little to no plastic taste. He looked brand new even after two years of regular training and racing at various distances. This new blister is really bad and seems to be getting worse with every use. A few minutes after filling, the water tastes like a Porta plastic pot. It's terrible. I got dehydrated on a few runs because the taste is so bad. I added Body Armor to mask the taste. I chose the plastic Fruit Punch Porta Potty flavor. I soaked it in vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda several times over the course of several days. Nothing helps. Yesterday I went on a charity trip for a local 14 year old. At the first-aid posts I had to drain the water and pour new ones, but the familiar taste immediately returned. It was very hot and I forced myself to drink. The bladder itself actually smells like plastic and I'm concerned about what's going into my water. It also has rust-like stains and it's almost impossible to turn it inside out to clean it properly. I bought it a few months ago and was recovering from surgery so I found out about the problem too late to return it. I hope it's an accident or a fake because it's bad. I will never borrow my stuff again and am hoping to find a bubble that looks like the real thing.
