I've been using them since the late 80's. Normally no problem. The last two, however, were completely unsatisfactory. It started about 2 months ago when I replaced the "almost" old one. The new one was initially very, very economical in consumption. I suffered from this for about a month, changing and the same. Also, the black ring was extremely difficult to remove and replace. Everpure's solution was to replace the "outdated" faucet with a new one - another $60. Having spent about $150 recently, I don't want to invest in another H300. I'll either pull through or replace with another brand. Everpure suggested that our water needs to be filled with something. It doesn't count as the last two H300s were just dribblers from the start. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative filter?
