I bought one of these to clean an old oak barn and to bring out the texture of an old pine. My wife wanted a table for our newly covered back patio. She wanted it to look old and weathered. I was lucky enough that my friend gave me some large planks of pine that I cut down to make a table. Using Restorer and the Craftsman Steel Brush to go over the wood after customizing it for my project, I was able to highlight the texture to make it look weathered and aged the way I wanted it. I also used it on an old barn. Tree that needs cleaning. It was so nice to be able to clean the wood and not lose the texture and aging it showed by simply cleaning the wood and grain and the quick sanding eliminated any possibility of splitting so I could build a bench. with a heart-shaped pine table. When you buy the Restorer, it comes with a pair of grinding wheels, but the addition of the steel brush that Restorer or Craftsman sell adds versatility to this tool.
