A lens you like (but wish it looked better).

I start with what I don't like. I don't like that the included lens hood is very large and disproportionate to the lens. The X-045 lens hood that comes with the 45mm macro lens fits and looks much better. I also wish this lens had a trim ring to tidy up the lens when you're on the go and don't need much of a lens hood. But the picture quality more than makes up for it, and once you see the first images on the big screen you'll forget the ugliness (at least not for long). I would say, just like in marriage - you should think twice before you buy this lens. Do I need buttery smooth, pleasing bokeh? Or a 20mm f/1.7 autofocus quality or a 25mm f/1.7 stable assistant will do. In my opinion, the two I just mentioned are more attractive. But at the risk of sounding rude: - The decision is really very similar to choosing a wife. Anyone else's opinion really doesn't matter. A man wants a supermodel. Others, like me, want a nice lens without compromising on the quality inside. After all, this lens will never let you down.
