Inexpensive, reliable, bright and easy to use

I'm an auto mechanic and I love modifying my car. I bought it as a second speedometer because my car only has an analogue speedometer. He does his job very well. The main unit is light, very light. It feels wrong in the hands and doesn't feel premium, but it works and it works very well. When the car hits bumps, accelerates and brakes hard, the low weight of the head unit is an advantage. The screen is bright in any state. (I don't think the auto-brightness feature works), but it doesn't bother me at night. - The TFT screen is responsive, there is no noticeable lag in pixel response time compared to my OEM LCD screen on my dashboard. - Accuracy is good. It reads a bit high. My car speedometer reads 70 mph and this autool reads 71 mph. (My car speedometer isn't GPS calibrated.) - I really like that it gives me a constant car voltage. Anyone familiar with the alternator can tell if it is in good condition. Coolant temperature is also a great feature. High quality OBD2 cable. Thanks to its low profile, it is very easy to route and hide in small places in the car. The OBD2 code reader is a big plus. Now for the not so good part: the OBD2 USB-A cable just isn't long enough. I like to tuck cords in to hide them from view, and the included 3-foot cord isn't long enough. Longer cables are sold at Revain but cost the most. Double sided tape is not thick enough and sticky. My dash isn't a rectangle, it has curves and curves. 1 small detail does not make "EZ" installation process. Not a bad buy for the low price I paid. The information I get from the department is very helpful. If you drive a modified car, you need to monitor how the car behaves. Coolant temp, voltage, fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer and OBD2 code reader are really very useful. Just note that you only have 3 feet of cable to connect your car to your head unit.
