After hand tightening to check the vacuum, I tightened an additional 1/32 turn (approximately) and immediately saw the 1/4 inch male adapter snap into place turned on the shaft. I only gained -22 pounds after 15 minutes of vacuum at 3.5 CFM and lost 10 pounds within 5 minutes of turning off the pump and manifold. If you're reading this, save yourself the headache and buy a quality adapter that won't slip out on its own. BAD PRODUCTION.
