Review on KAIWEETS 3-in-1 Heavy Duty Automatic Wire Stripper - Self-Adjusting Wire Stripping Tool, 10-24 AWG Wire Cutter Ideal for Electrical Cable Cutting and Crimping by Damian Grotting

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good build quality, ideal for larger wires but not so good for small wires.

In general, this is a good wire stripper. However, there are some issues with stripping smaller wires. When I tried to strip the connector wire, the wire cutters didn't cut, but instead pulled the insulation off the wire until the insulation blew. This made a very long bar, not the 1/4" bar I set it for (see photos). It works well with larger wires and cables, like the 12AWG red cable I show in the photos. "This is typical of this style of stripper. I have another stripper of this style that like this one works well on larger calibers but not on smaller ones. I think it's probably a quirk of this style of stripper. What I like? Reliable build quality One of the highest quality tools of its kind o Wire cutter cuts cleanly o Convenient pliers of different sizes on handle o Adjustable jaw tension o Comfortable grips o Adjustable stop to measure strip length Easy to set up What I don't like Doesn't strip smaller wire gauges. The cutter pulls the insulation until it snaps, resulting in a longer strip than expected Summary These are good wire strippers If you e s for large diameter wires and cables, it works perfectly. Just don't expect it to do a good job of stripping smaller wires (terminal size). To do this, use a manual scraper or another type of scraper.

  • Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper
Cons
