I replaced my broken $300 27 inch monitor with this one because I was on a huge budget. Aesthetically it looks very good, it is sleek, thin and the screen is matte. In terms of image quality, I would give it a 7/10. , it's spicy enough but not as spicy as we'd like. I have really good eyesight so I'm a bit overwhelmed by the sharpness. My Asus G74sx laptop (1080p) is MUCH sharper than this one, which is surprising considering the laptop is 5 years old. It's also a bit dark, and trying to change the brightness/contrast just made it look awful, so I'm stuck with the default settings until I can figure out how to calibrate it perfectly. I plan to use it as a second monitor once I can afford another 27" 1440p monitor. In the meantime, it does its job for me, and for $100 I'm not too concerned about that. Overall great for the price and you won't find anything better at this price trust me I've been looking for a few days.
