I bought a 3 liter tube to cover longer runs as my 2 liter Nathan tube wasn't big enough (the picture shows my current 2 liter Nathan tube (clear)) and a new 3 liter tube TruMod bottle (blue)). The TruMod Tank didn't quite fit into my Nathan Hydration Vest, which was supposed to have a total capacity of 5 liters. I specifically chose this hydration vest because it was the lightest (ie smallest) I found and had a 2 liter bladder. So I'd say this 3 liter tank will fit in all but the smallest backpacks/hydration vests that can hold at least a 2 liter tank. Still using my hydration vest, the hard plastic bladder seal stuck out a bit on one side of the pack until I had about a liter and was able to slide it back into the side of the pack. I flushed the TruMod bladder several times before using it for the first time and there was only a very slight bad taste. It might have been the tap water itself (it didn't have a plastic taste, it was just different) because I was on vacation (and in a new place) when I first used this bladder. The plastic makes a stable and durable impression. The 3 liter bottle has a baffle to prevent splashing. I think sloshing is also limited by the suction created by sucking the water out of the bag. There seemed to be quite a bit of water left that I couldn't siphon off (i.e. dead space); I would say 200ml. My Nathan's 2 liter bladder didn't even have a sip left at the end of use. My complaints only relate to the attachment of the hose and mouthpiece. The hose attachment mechanism is the same as my Nathan bladder and I find it very difficult to press the little button to release the hose and disconnect the hose from the bladder. I have to pull and pull and my hands hurt. I started accidentally disconnecting the tubing from the connector (leaving the connector stuck in my bladder) because there is nothing on the connector to grab onto when I pull on it. The industry really needs to come up with a better communication mechanism. "Turn to open" is written on the mouthpiece. Not really. You pull so most of the round joint is visible to open the valve and let the water flow. It dripped when I left it open. I have to open and close the TruMod mouthpiece valve every time I want to drink. My Nathan tube doesn't leak if I leave it open. I prefer to leave it open so I don't have to pull or twist cheap plastic every time I want a drink. It's a good product at a good price, but it needs some engineering and improvements to be the best.
