I liked its effective style and color. It's plastic, but a hard, durable plastic. It seems to withstand even the toughest shell. I've used it several times and it's a great investment. It cracks the shell without breaking it and works just as well as a metal cracker. It makes a robust and well-made impression. Even if your hands get a little dirty, you can grab a cracker and use it. I ordered a few of these to give to my crab loving family along with the HIC Lobster Crab Seafood Pick. Both are a great combination and a huge improvement over Nutcracker and Chopsticks.
