Fiction! Until the lobster wins.

Omar won. The second time I used plastic crackers and one of them cracked in 2 pieces and is now unusable. They are not as durable as they seem at first glance! After the first use, never use the metal cracker again! These crackers are strong, work great and won't slip in slippery hands! So happy I bit the bullet and decided to replace my metal crackers🥰

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

CRACKERJACK! on Kitchen Gadgets & Gadgets

You wouldn't think a plastic seafood cracker could handle that kind of load, but this cracker from Zyliss is simply amazing. It's lightweight and convenient to use, durable, well-made and offers incredible stopping power. It's also easy to care for and I think it's quite pretty. I liked my first pair so much that I ordered two more. You'll never touch those cheap flimsy metal crackers again after trying one.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • No Power

Not the best option for splitting king crab legs

I was looking for a replacement for my old rusty cracker and this one seemed pretty strong to me. King crab legs are a bit thinner and softer than lobster shells, so I found them easier to cut when trying to use a cracker for the crab shells. If they had more than one bulge to get the cracker in more places I think it would work better. Let's see how well they do with Hummer.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Without a gun

Great crackers for seafood!

These are AMAZING seafood crackers! I'm used to very basic metal shoes, but they slip and slide more and don't give as much grip. This made it possible to crack the lobster shells exactly where the meat comes out most easily. I have 2 as they are easy to share, especially with this color! and we usually don't have more than 4 people for lobster! Definitely recommend for lobster and crab lovers!

Perfect tool for snow crab legs

I love snow crab legs and these are perfect for them. I had a metal flap with removable rubber pads that worked but rusted under the rubber pads. So all the plastic handles were a plus for me. They work very well on snow crab legs of different sizes. Work on big flat paws, hard round paws and claws. I noticed that one reviewer mentioned that they don't work well with king crab legs and just punch holes in the legs. I understand that this would apply to feet that big, but I can assure you they…

Powerful Crab Cracker

I was concerned when I saw Zyliss online because of the plastic. I figured they might not be strong enough or too brittle for seafood. We've had good luck with other Zyliss products over the years, so I decided to change them up. Tonight they cracked Dungeness crabs easily, even with their claws. I only bought one pair to try but all four liked the wide body, the crab shell came out in large chunks more intact than a bunch of small chunks, the teeth were interlocking to get a good grip on the…

Pros
  • It's OK!

  • Crumpled packaging

Husband's birthday present.

My husband is a big fan of crab legs. However, we found that local buffets stopped leaving seafood crackers because waitresses were careless and accidentally threw them away. So to get a seafood cracker you had to ask for it, sit down, wait and then hope the waitress hadn't forgotten, which got a little awkward to say the least. Now my husband brings his to the buffet and because they are red they don't lag behind and are easily distinguished from the buffet's seafood crackers. Sounds a bit…

The Best Seafood Crackers

My family has been eating shrimp for many years and cracking the shrimp is part of the eating ritual. But the splitting tools used were nutcrackers or small mallets, and I felt there must be other devices that would make the job easier, if not better. It's best that you don't crush or mash the skin or grate the flesh inside. Just like now, with every purchase I start searching/browsing for a product that meets my needs. There are many seafood crackers out there - different styles, colors…

I love this Swiss lobster cracker!

at least for the table. (If I smash a lobster in the kitchen, I just use the back of a heavy chef's knife.) NOTE: Any lobster over 2 pounds needs a hammer, not a cracker. 4 pounds and over, hand sledgehammer. However, all this applies only to the claws. The tail of even a large lobster requires no tools. This cracker is lightweight, easy to handle with oily hands, and the red color makes it easy to find at an outdoor picnic. Be wary of most crackers as many of them are either useless or…
