Review on Headphones monitor wireless Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 by Rimba

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I have not regretted the purchase, everything is fine.

There is a feature of sound adjustment: it is separate for headphones and for the sound source. That is: For maximum volume, you need to unscrew the sound both on the headphones - through the buttons on the case - and on the source device (phone for example). This should be taken into account if you plan to adjust the sound only through the headphones so that it does not turn out to be too quiet or too loud.

Pros
  • * The sound is good, no worse than in earplugs (who would not think such a comparison is blasphemous) * They sit comfortably, the quality of materials and assembly is high, the head and ears do not get tired of them * Ear pads provide good sound insulation both to the wearer from external sounds and to those around from the sound in the headphones - at medium volume * Controls are convenient, although the volume buttons do not have special distinguishing features (may be a minus for someone) * The battery holds a charge for a couple of days of constant listening and charges pretty quickly via Usb TypeC * The microphone is heard clearly, without distortion. Although it seems that the sound source is slightly removed and slightly shifted to the left - perhaps due to the location of the microphone in the headphone housing
Cons
  • * Do not squeeze the bass. It's not bad: there is no sagging or flattening of low and mid frequencies - but if you want a rich deep sound from bass to vibration in the body - this is not about them. * Pause/Play: When you press the pause/resume button on the headphones themselves, the headphones will play an audio notification about this. And if you can still put up with the notification itself, then you need to be prepared for the fact that while it is being played, audio playback has already resumed - that is, about a second of sound is eaten up. It is inconvenient if you listen to something informational. You have to either rewind, or pause from your phone / computer, or calculate the time to pause. * LED indicator: When the headphones are turned on and paired with a Bluetooth device, the LED flashes every 4 seconds. It is completely invisible while it is light, or there is light from the screen - but in the dark, lying / sitting, especially in light-colored clothes - it starts to annoy quite strongly. I would prefer that the indication was only charging, since the audio indication is enough. I had to glue mine. * The voice assistant call button is located above the volume up button. It has a different relief, but in the beginning, you can try to press it instead of the volume * I would say that the device reprogramming tool is missing (I would disable the voice assistant call button or change its purpose and disable the LED flashing during operation)
