Review on Little Giant RL 50SC Pump Black by Michael Boonme

Great drain pump, powerful and quiet. I ordered this particular pump because it is more efficient than the one I am using, ie it pumps more water using less power. I measured 6 amps with the pump running, the pump he replaced was less powerful but was drawing 8 amps. Full specifications can be found on the Red Lion website. Efficiency is important to me because I have a pump backed by a high quality sine wave inverter and I want the batteries to last as long as possible during a power outage. The pump has a very high quality, heavy cast iron body with metal fittings that look like stainless steel. Interestingly, this pump is made by the same company as Little Giant Ladders. I have one of these and it's the best all-purpose ladder I've ever had, so I felt comfortable paying a little more for this pump.
