After making dozens of quilts from baby to king size, I ran out of gifts for my children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren/friends. This book was the missing link in my scrapbook collection. First, I can't resist the reproductions of fabrics available to the modern quilter, and I have quite a stash. Second, I was looking for smaller projects. This book is the best investment I could make given these facts. I have already made three patterns from this book and have been pleased with the instructions, color pictures and diagrams. Everything is clear, concise and spot on with the helpful tips in the Quilting Basics section. The beginner quilt will have no trouble assembling these little gems if you follow the step-by-step instructions. I currently have Daddy's Birds, Alexander's Pot of Beans, and Stars to Freedom hanging on my stairs. I will probably make all the other of these little treasures!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
