I was so happy when these nice guys arrived today. I couldn't wait to try them out. It held up well on the mug when I heated it in the microwave. I wrapped the rope around the sink and it unraveled nicely. Works best with clams in a cup, but every cup is different. It is very sweet. They seem solid but I just received them. Will be updated after a few uses. As for the tongs that came with it, I was skeptical at how curved they were. They work great too. I ended up folding the pouch for the second compression just to be sure. I definitely recommend this set.
