I put 4 for durability due to fading. Don't complain that it's faded, but as long as you know before you buy. My Jeep stays parked outside so that's to be expected. The finish faded but did not crack and survived multiple pressure washes and about 10-15 freeway miles. My winch is about a year old and has been used for almost a week or two and this coating keeps my winch looking brand new. You can't go wrong with a steel cable winch to protect against rust and a plastic cable to protect against sun and rain. Ideal for Badlands 12K lb winch. Faded but does what it's supposed to. Overall very happy with this case. **UPDATE** As of March 2021, this winch cover is finally starting to crack. For the price, in my opinion, this is absolutely unbeatable, since my winch still looks like new. It broke when trying to stretch it back down, so it's still good if I want to keep using it. It went away quickly but it doesn't really matter, my jeep stays in the weather year round so was to be expected.
