GOOD QUALITY PLUG - READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU ORDER

Ok, this is a good plug Quality I ordered for my 2005 Silverado Z71 5.3L version. vortex This is the third set of spark plugs fitted including what was in it when new. I've had issues with other brands of plugs in the past, so I only use AC/Delco plugs in my GM car and boat engines. Yes I know some AC Delco plugs are made by NGK but I use AC Delco to make sure I have the correct plug. They work well and provide a smooth idle on a 244,000 mile engine. First of all I would like to let everyone know about the current AC Delco discount campaign running throughout 2014. Discounts range from 0.50 to 2.00 per fork depending on the fork purchased. I haven't submitted my rebate yet, but I don't understand why the Revain purchase form isn't being accepted. If I have any issues with the discount I will update this review. Google "delco spark plugs discount 2014" for the discount form. Second, I would like to clear up some of the confusion surrounding the 41-962 Platinum and 41-110 Iridium Plug. If you google "41-962 vs. 41-110" the first thing that comes to mind is AC/Delco Service Bulletin 13D-070. This bulletin clearly states that as of 5/2013 spark plug 41-962 is the correct spark plug for use in 2006 and earlier and in some applications with 2007 spark plugs. With no facts to support this theory, I'm assuming these are GM 5.3L engines WITHOUT VVT and/or Active Fuel Management that fit this model year classification pretty closely, so it might have something to do with it to have. I don't know what is the real reason why they changed the candle recommendation. Some people online are speculating that this change was made because platinum is cheaper than iridium and somehow it allows more forks to be sold? They're about 60 cents cheaper so I'm not sure I believe it. I guess they just found that it's the best connector for the application. Also, I asked the GM dealer to verify my VIN and they also showed that the correct connector is 41-962. That's not to say that 41-110 Iridiums won't work in your 2006 5.3L engine, but according to the folks who make these spark plugs, 41-962 is the correct spark plug to use right now. Actually, the 41-110 used to be a replacement for the original spark plugs that came with my truck (can't remember the part number). In fact, I ran 41-110 from my first 120K plug swap to around 244K with no issues. There have been reports online of people losing fuel mileage from 41-110. I'm really not sure if I did it or not. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify what the actual correct connector is for 2006 5.3 liter engines based on the AC/Delco Service Bulletin. Hope that helps!
