Review on DOWELL Metal Oil Can – Pistol Pump Oiler for Lubrication, 16oz 500ml Bottle with Straight Spout, Black (HY050201) by Ben Chase

This is a large capacity oiler that holds 500ml (just over a pint). This is a high quality metal lubricator with a high quality metal pump (I like it a lot more than the clear plastic lubricator I've tried before which didn't have a good pump). It has excellent pumping action with a good strong return spring that gives you good control over your lubrication. It has two interchangeable nozzles, both fairly long (about 8 inches) - a straight metal nozzle and a flexible nozzle, which I prefer as it allows for better oil handling without having to tilt the jar at odd angles. My only major complaint. that's the thread on the interchangeable nozzles - it's made of plastic and not that easy to get started. Because of this, I'm concerned that if these attachments are frequently swapped out, the plastic threads will break fairly quickly. Because of this, I intend to leave my favorite flexible attachment in place and just use it unless I have a very good reason to use a straight attachment (which I can't think of). I suggest you choose one nozzle and stick with it so you don't tear the plastic thread on the bottle. Another small issue of mine is the size - it might be big for others, but for my taste it's a bit big and takes up a lot of space. more room on my shelf than my previous butter dish. SUMMARY: Good quality metal lubricator, large size/capacity and has a choice of two nice (and long) nozzles. Because of the plastic thread, I don't recommend constantly changing the nozzles.
