Review on πŸ‘‘ Top-rated Queen Mattress Topper: Best Price 4 Inch Ventilated Memory Foam, CertiPUR-US Certified, at Unbeatable Price by Mike Morris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beautiful and comfortable, but too short

Not bad, but it's about 6 inches shorter than my dorm mattress (and about 1 inch wider). Maybe it's my fault for not checking the measurements, but when something is advertised as a twin it's safe to assume it will fit a twin. Luckily I'm short and still like to hang my legs over the edge of the mattress because of my joint pain, so it's no big deal; it just looks a little unattractive. Sheet; A regular fitted sheet worked fine with a little fiddling. I believe a regular sized mattress requires a custom fitted sheet. I have an issue with the pillow shifting every time I slide off the loft bed, but I guess that goes for any mattress topper that I haven't literally glued to the mattress. I have a terrible sense of smell so take my assessment of the smell with a grain of salt but it really wasn't that bad. I noticed that the first time I pulled it out, but since it was night and I didn't want to spend another night on my uncomfortable dorm mattress, I didn't have time to air out properly. I threw on a sheet almost immediately and went to bed. I didn't notice the smell until I buried my face right into the mattress and took a deep breath; As long as my head was on the pillow, everything was fine. But then again, my nose sucks for being a nose. It expanded very quickly which was a relief as like I said I didn't want to wait anyway. I was nervous when I took it out and saw how tiny and flimsy it was and thought it would take hours to fully expand. I turned to throw out my trash for about thirty seconds and when I turned it was fully expanded. As for utility: it's very handy! At this point I had slept on my dorm mattress for five days and it was awful. Hard, unpadded, springs sticking into you, etc. I was in so much pain from the springs that I felt like I had pleurisy (I was really worried I had it at first). Within one night of using this mattress pad, these side pains disappeared. I was a bit nervous about using a mattress topper as I used to sleep on a memory foam mattress and HATE it as I realized my body was sunken deeper into the mattress than my head and my neck in a lot awkward angle. I don't have this problem with this pillow; everything is equally supported and I feel absolutely comfortable. It's worth noting that I've had TERRIBLE insomnia since I was a baby. I sleep about two hours a night, and going all night without sleep is a weekly phenomenon for me. I've tried every drug on the market and none of them have worked; Meditation/yoga/exercises don't work either. I'm not going to say that this mattress topper healed me because it certainly wasn't. BUT I've noticed that I need a little less time to settle in and fall asleep; an average of six to four or five hours. And I wake up a little more refreshed. I know it doesn't seem like a big difference, but to me it's a HUGE one. I also noticed a significant reduction in pain in my back, hips and knees, which are also oddly drug resistant. Unfortunately, my wrists, ankles, and other joints haven't seen the same improvement, but hey, there's no magic cure for everything.
