Fake marble thing?
In the broadest sense, it is marble. They're gutted, chipped - feel like rejected balls that didn't fall into the game boxes. But I use them as treats for my kids - every 15 balloons give them a fun experience - and they're perfect for that. I definitely wouldn't pay more for them and would be furious if a game that required marbles included them, but then again, they're great for my purposes.
