I have an air compressor for tires and sports equipment that only runs from the cigarette lighter in my car. I needed something that I could plug into an outlet and use an air compressor. This adapter is ideal for inflating bicycle and car tires in the garage. This way I don't have to leave the machine running while the compressor is running. I just plug the adapter into the outlet and the compressor into the adapter and fill it up.
