Must cut electrical connection, no threads for wiring
OEM installation is a plug and play wiring harness. You simply unplug the lamp cord and clip on the new cord. This does NOT include the wiring harness so you will need to cut the original wiring harness from your car and use zip ties which are not as reliable in heavy use as the wiring harness. Bad design. Also, to screw the bracket on, you need to press it firmly against the car to clamp the wiring between the bracket and the car, as there is no through hole for the wiring to hang freely. Bad design. Works kinda crap.
