This is a great wood carving tool. I believe the notoriety of flexible cuts is that they are spring steel so they flex and the edge is hardened to withstand excellent sharpening. It should work well because I've found I can control the cutting in the smallest of turns. and angles with great precision. The handle is ergonomic and I can cut for hours without getting tired. I am very happy with this V shaped tool.
