I've been making my daily infusion coffee for over 6 years. Chemex, V60, Meditation, etc. each has its own taste and "quality". Saw this set from Fellow (I use their kettle and love it) so I had to try it. That's fascinating. As you visualize, enjoy the "cool factor". More importantly, it's a new pouring method with a unique cup. I'm using xf so that's 2 cups. The shape, configuration and size of the holes as well as the filter create an overpour, ie an immersion brewer. Let me explain, coffee fills up the brewer. They do the flowering phase. Then we start turning the corner. After swelling, we begin to pour water from the cauldron in concentric circles, filling the cup and continuing to pour as the level decreases. Due to the deep and steep walls of the coffee machine, the coffee stays in the water for several minutes before it is ready. This is how elements of immersion brewing are brought into the cup. Coffee will be sweet, homogeneous and delicious! Consequent! Granted, there's a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you'll enjoy the ride. Besides, it's fun. If you don't already have a scale (get one eventually), you can successfully use this coffee maker to make a great cup of coffee. The kit includes a 1 and 2 point cup where you pour coffee, that's your dose. And the carafe dies for your water pour. In this way, you can efficiently prepare coffee without a scale. I recommend trying it out, especially if you don't already have the hardware. Enjoy!
