Media could not be loaded. That was great! We considered having the dryer vent professionally cleaned because I have had to run the dryer more than once to dry my laundry. Professional cleaning was outrageously expensive, so we started looking for tools to do our own cleaning. There is a hole on the lid that fits a vacuum attachment, so we attached our shop vacuum and my husband attached a brush attachment to his drill. It was a bit of a hassle to attach each length of tubing, but we had no problems. We used duct tape to secure each part of the extension so we could easily lose it deep in the vent. We definitely cleaned the lint out of the vent (it was all visible on the roof where the vent is emptied). Now the dryer works better and I feel safer because it's less of a fire hazard. All in all, I think it took us three and a half to four hours, but I'm sure next time we'll be quicker. The extensions were flexible and made a stable impression. I would recommend this particular kit for DIYers.
