When I first got my Eggboard I really laughed at how small it was and wondered how my two feet would fit together on the deck. When I got my hands on it, it feels solid, "ready to ride" out of the box. The first thing I noticed was that the wheels protruded about an inch or so out the width of the deck. You have to be careful not to rub the wheel with your boot, otherwise you could immediately collide with the plant. After making a note, I began my journey through San Francisco's Financial District to the waterfront, where the sidewalks are new and wide. This ride was buttery smooth from the start. The softer wheels really make the road softer and the bearings seem to roll all day! I've skateboarded most of my life (my first deck was a Roskopp) and I don't think I've ever skated smoother. I get crazy looks from people when I drive by, but the size is really perfect for my commute. It fits in a backpack, but I just attach it to my bag with the sewn-on straps. If you love a longboard but don't want to carry it around, it's worth a ride. If you want to grind, ollie, or spin in a drained pool, it's going to kill you.
