Review on Kwikset 98880-004 SmartCode 888 Z-Wave Plus Smart Lock Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt in Satin Nickel with SmartKey Security by Dusty Oner

So I installed one of these in 2019, no problem, still works great. A week ago I installed the door and bought a new one. Couldn't find a mounting plate to attach the outside to the inside of the door. I ordered another one, the same plate is not available. I ordered a third one, the same plate is missing. I ended up calling Kwikset customer service and they very kindly advised me to remove the plate from the inner half of the unit. I'm an idiot. Okay, to save some credit for myself, the mount is no longer silver, it's now painted black and it's not hanging around in the box but is attached to the unit during transport. and the number of ways I've tried to take things apart while thinking about it. End of story, at least tomorrow is Friday and the new bolt works. Maybe you're all ready to find some Revain Warehouse unopened screw deals!
