Review on PENGUIN COFFEE- Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker 2.0: Enhanced Glass Pitcher & Stainless Steel Filter for Thicker, Stronger Iced Coffee by Leslie Smith

This brewery is way better than all the other systems that I have tried in the last few weeks. During this time, I learned that making a cold drink yourself is not as easy as it seems. Regular brewers with standard steel mesh filters leak LOTS of coffee grounds into their coffee. So you either have to buy coarse specialty coffee grounds (which didn't help at all in my case), or buy a ridiculously expensive grinder (the cheap ones don't cut it, too much dust), or filter the cold coffee after brewing to get all the floating bases Get rid of. Fun Most other brewers don't have this! I was hesitant to give the Penguin a try due to the low price but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was when it arrived. All components are of high quality and the system meets all requirements:** Micro-mesh steel filter: no coffee grounds in your cold brew. The filter is so fine that you don't even see the holes. I still use the system with extra large coffee grounds. The instructions say you can use a medium grind. In fact, due to the fact that nothing at all goes through the filter, I would even say that normal everyday grounds can be used for Pourover filter coffee. I'm going to start experimenting and thanks to this amazing filter I'm not limited to just a few beans that come in very coarse grinds, I can just use any coffee. I can even take any cheap coffee grinder and grind my coffee - the filter takes care of the dust!** Sealed lid: for storage AND while brewing. Your moldy cheese in the fridge won't harm your coffee. I'm serious - I don't like coffee that tastes like a mix of whatever happened to be in my fridge. And many other brewers have a loose filter at the top, sometimes even completely open to allow other substances to get in.** Easy to clean: The filter opens from the bottom and you can dispose of used coffee grounds in seconds. All of this can even be washed in the dishwasher. This brewing machine is designed to be used, not just sold. HOW GOOD IS COLD BREW COFFEE?** The Penguin Brewer has a ridiculous filter volume to body volume ratio. I received a 1.2 liter set, the filter holds about 200 grams (7 oz) of ground coffee (which is a lot) and the return is about 600 ml (20 oz) of ultra strong coffee concentrate. I have to dilute it 1:4 with water to make it "normal". One of the reasons this drink is so potent is that the set includes a filter holder that allows you to scoop out the highly concentrated essence that would normally get stuck in the ground and thrown in the trash can. After brewing it takes another 10 minutes to empty the whole filter.** You can use the ground coffee a second time (2nd brew) and it will bring back another 600ml of really strong coffee (not concentrate but I have to do it anyway). ) I can fool him). All in all, I can get over 3 liters (100 ounces) of a wonderfully smooth cold drink with one serving (with admittedly high-quality coffee grounds and two 18-hour brews). The first batch of concentrate can also be used to make cocktails (it can be mixed with all types of milk or used to make amazing quality cocktails without diluting it with water). You can also drink it just like that when you're dying of a caffeine overdose - it tastes amazing. ^^ The second batch is what you're used to from your favorite coffee shop, it just tastes a lot better because you're in control of the beans you use. WHAT I DON'T LIKE** Obviously, the brewer only keeps one batch of coffee at a time. For the first batch you will need a second carafe if you are brewing the second. I wish there was a way to just order a second sealed carafe from Penguin. But since the entire brewer costs less than a carafe, I might as well buy a second brewer. =P** After the second infusion you have 3 liters of pure cold coffee. That's too much for one person. I can not sleep anymore. :DI would like the system to be available in a smaller size. But my office mates are very happy that I started delivering their coffee. ^^** The lower filter cap has very rudimentary carvings. I wanted it to be more like gossip. But the fact that the bottom cover can be removed at all is just brilliant - it's about time I stopped nagging. ;)tl;dr: GET THIS BREWER. You will not regret it. It's amazing. Not only does it have the best filter I've ever seen, but it's also of excellent quality and even looks stylish. Trust me, I've had several standard brew systems and they all suck compared to this one. PS: customer service. I don't care where the product comes from, whether it's a Chinese, European or American company. But I was speechless when I received a polite and personal email from Atlanta. Someone at Penguin asks me if I'm happy with the brewer. So REALLY personal and not one of those standard automated "please don't email us if you're dissatisfied" emails. We corresponded a little via email. They genuinely support their product, strive to make it even better, and appreciate all feedback. You can feel the love and dedication that went into this brewing system. To the penguin people: you guys are great!
