Actually, I bought a different cardan shaft. The discrepancy here is attributable to the automaker (BMW). It wasn't long enough. I called APDY to complain, I was scammed and they said they would like to pick it up and explained the whole situation to me and instructed me to get this one instead. This works fine. Although I had to go through the driveshaft rudder bearing (Amazon uses rudders as idler hubs), it did. interesting experience. Make sure it fits your car before you buy it, Amazon compatibility is a LIAR!
