Review on 🧼 Bacto-Surge Mini Foam Filter by HIKARI by Aries Reed

I've always had mechanical HOB filters in previous installations. They certainly work, but they take up a lot of tank space, are noisy, and can get temperamental. I did some research on foam filters to use with an air pump and decided to try this approach when installing a Marineland 5 gallon portrait aquarium. In a nutshell. I wish I had done this a long time ago. Set up was very easy, the filtration is great and the sponge is easy to hide behind the hardscape. Combined with the Tetra Whisper Air Pump the bubble flow is perfect for my Betta and I no longer have to worry about shrimp getting caught in the mechanical filter! Highly recommended!
