Overall, I really like this opener. With arthritic hands, it became harder for me to open bottles and cans. This opener is very helpful. It took me a while to figure out how to use it, but now I've used it multiple times. There is a hole on the underside of the handle which I believe is for prying open the metal tab on the cans. Works well for some banks, not so much for others. My small cat food jars have the tab too close to the lid for this to work, but it works with larger jars. Even with small jars, this opener makes it easy to remove the entire lid once I lift the tab. Pain from twisting wrists. I recommend this article.
