This was a Christmas present for my brother, he preferred it to something else because it's almost indestructible. We heard about this headset from a friend who is very casual with his computer accessories. We often heard him throw his headphones across the room, or sit on them, or just drop them and accidentally roll his chair over them. You can deal with abuse. The part that holds the earcups is made of thick plastic that attaches to the earcup itself. That means where more expensive headsets are fragile due to the swivel mechanism, they hold up. This was important to my brother because he bought a lot of headphones that break in that area. He likes the sound and says he can hear a lot of sounds that he couldn't hear before in the headphones that came with his phone. And he used them for several hours every day without any problems. He says he does feel some pressure after wearing them for a long time, but I think over time they will loosen up and fit him better. The microphone is decent. The quality is not very good, but quite suitable for team games. The distortion isn't too bad and his words come out pretty clear. The headphones also block quite a bit of sound, we called him from the living room and made him completely forget what we were saying. But there are some downsides. As mentioned, they don't have the pivoting mechanism on the earcups that most expensive headsets have. That means they won't be around your neck or on the table when you put them down. If that's important to you, look elsewhere. The design itself is pretty obnoxious and the light is a bit useless, but given the price and the sound quality you get it's not that much of a distraction when wearing it. UPDATE: Everything I said still stands, but it's been about six months now and the left earcup is no longer making any noise.
