I bought a set of three that came with a small remote control which I didn't know about when I first saw the product. Each device is powered by 4 AAA batteries. I wanted a few of them to top light the diorama on the shelf. I couldn't be happier with the results. With the remote control you can adjust the brightness and switch from bright cool white to warmer normal white. You can turn it on/off directly on the devices, but brightness and other settings need to be set on the remote control. They come with a magnetic strip for sticking to a smooth surface, which I used on another dark shelf. I almost forgot that the remote control has a timer function so you can forget to switch it off and the batteries don't run out. Timer options for 5, 10, 20 and 30 minutes. I am very satisfied with this item and I think that soon I will see other places where I need to use more. I think everyone will be happy when they buy these lights. Ideal for showcases, but also ideal for accent lighting under cabinets and shelves.
