Simple, inexpensive and works great

If you want something simple to get an HDMI source into your computer, this works great. I use this to zoom in on my camcorder and OBS on my Mac. It's very simple, just plug it in and it will be recognized. There's no HDMI out so be aware if you need HDMI out or else for $16 I couldn't be happier.
