I don't have Alexa. (optional) So I wanted to configure these switches through their app instead. Either way, you'll need an app before you can set it up for Alexa. Troubleshooting these switches took about 4 hours. I've come to the conclusion that the Wi-Fi transmitter in these switches is poorly designed or poorly built. Out of the 4 switches I received, only 1 worked as intended. and it worked fine. It is set up for use in less than a minute without any problems. The other 3 switches do not allow you to configure yourself after being discovered in the application. I've tried both automatic and manual settings to get these devices working without success. The instructions in the manual that came with the switches are very confusing. It's best to just download the app and watch the video if you want to try these switches.
