Very thin material for the bottom.
The bottom is very thin and my two guinea pigs, Iris and Ophelia, immediately turned it over and gnawed through it. I think the pet store has cheaper and more durable options. Even my local grocery store has a similar item with a heavier bottom. it feels softer and costs ten dollars less than this one.
