Review on 🍷 VinOair Wine Aerator by Nicholas by John Caine

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for red wine

Red wine needs to be aerated for full flavor. You can do this by decanting the bottle by pouring it into another glass container, which usually has a large opening. Aeration helps get rid of unwanted chemicals and gases in red wine, including sulfides, sulfates, and even ethanol, which can add acidity and rubbing alcohol. Using the VinOair aerator in the bottle adds bubbles to the poured wine straight from the bottle and works great. I still prefer to fill the wine into another bottle and even pour it back and forth into the original bottle two or three times with the help of a small funnel, after which I leave the wine in the carafe for half an hour. Then I put it back in my own bottle, put the aerator down my neck and pour it into a glass. This helps convey the full flavor intended by the winemaker. Btw, a friend who was pouring himself a glass thought they had to put the bottle upside down in the glass to get maximum airflow. Not so! The aerator works best when the air intake is up and the bottle temperature is around 45 degrees. You will hear it bubbling as the sparkling wine flows into your glass. Have fun! Recommended.
