At first I was skeptical as to whether they would really do anything, but after almost 6 months of use I'm convinced that the purchase is worthwhile. Here's why: 1. Walking is much easier; I have a 5 minute walk from where I lock my bike to the gym for a shower and most of that walk is indoor tiled floors. The SPD-SL spikes were slippery on such floors, and that's not a problem now. I feel much more stable when walking. The same goes up the stairs.2. Last year I changed about 1 set of boots every month because they got worn out from running. This year I haven't had to change the spikes and I've ridden a lot more than before. They only paid for themselves by replacing the spikes.3. They hold up wonderfully. I thought that I might have to replace them often, but I don't think that will happen. So yes, I really like her. I wish I had bought them when I first started riding; I would save over $100 on replacement spikes.
