Easy to slip on and off

They're great. They slip on and off easily. I had no trouble getting them out. I am a 57 year old female and really appreciate the spike cover which I can remove with my adult fingers. I tried other spike covers from another Revain seller and they were VERY tight. I couldn't remove them at all.

Great grippy cleat pads

My first purchase of these cleat liners. They're made of rubber, so they need to be more durable than the spikes they protect. I just slipped them onto my boots and they stayed there nice and tidy. My first walk in them and I didn't realize they were on except that they were way more grippy than my regular boots. After slipping and almost falling a few times on plain spikes, they should give my shoes a lot more support. The biggest problem will be remembering to put them on when you get off the

Goes well with my SDP-SL shoes and has a nice low profile so you won't notice your boots have a layer of rubber but one fell off as I walked down the street and got on the local train and I have no idea when that happened. I didn't run, just walked at my normal pace and lifted my road bike up a few flights of stairs. The lid is too loose on the rod. What's the use of a clipless boot sleeve if it falls off the boot while walking? Very disappointed with this product. waste of money. I will notโ€ฆ

Save your boots and make walking easier.

Kool Kovers cleat covers are designed for Shimano SPD-SL cleats. These are lightweight spike covers compatible with both fixed and floating Shimano SPD-SL spikes. The overlays protect the boots from wear and tear and make walking easier. They prevent dirt and debris from building up in the cleats. I use these for my road bike boots with 3-bolt plastic spikes. The plastic on these boots would have worn out a few months ago if I hadn't been using Kool cases. While riding, they can be stowed in aโ€ฆ

The best investment to extend the life of your SPD cleats

They fit snugly and don't come loose, making walking in SPD boots feel safer and more secure. I had to walk a mile in boots because of the condo and I don't want to think about what it would be like if I didn't have them. As other reviewers say, the cases don't cover the carry tabs, but they are positioned higher so the carry tabs never touch the ground when worn. I've never had a problem with the wear tabs touching the ground. Also, after 18 months of use 2-3 times a week, they show no realโ€ฆ

They are alright. the best in cycling

I've been using these spike covers for a few months now. I walk them from the back door to the street, about 50-60 feet. They protect the toe of the shoe, but not the two small yellow ribs on the back. The yellow tabs come loose. I had to replace the spike covers due to cracks and loss of stiffness. Coming back to the covers, they could be improved, also using a different type of material to improve wear and also protect the yellow tabs. Update: November 19, 2016 I've been using them for a fewโ€ฆ

No more slipping on stairs

These things are great! It is very easy to slip on wooden or concrete stairs with spikes. They make walking more stable and won't scratch the wooden stairs. They're a bit bulky to carry around, though, so you might want to leave room in your saddlebag or make sure you have the clips provided. I've noticed a lot of people complain about them not fitting or falling off. It may be helpful to know that they will not fit SPD cleats used on mountain bike pedals. They are only suitable for SPD-SLโ€ฆ

I was skeptical but now I believe!

At first I was skeptical as to whether they would really do anything, but after almost 6 months of use I'm convinced that the purchase is worthwhile. Here's why: 1. Walking is much easier; I have a 5 minute walk from where I lock my bike to the gym for a shower and most of that walk is indoor tiled floors. The SPD-SL spikes were slippery on such floors, and that's not a problem now. I feel much more stable when walking. The same goes up the stairs.2. Last year I changed about 1 set of bootsโ€ฆ

Requires Spikes SPD-SL for protection

I really like them, but there is one small complaint (see below). I bought new Shimano SPD-SL cleats in July, I had them for about 3 months before the right hand gap (i.e. Yellow/Blue/Red Cleat Wear Indicator) on the right cleat broke while walking in a gravel parking lot. After the pin broke, cleat wear increased exponentially until the stone in the groove on the back of the cleat buckled, causing the cleat to struggle to secure onto the pedals. My wife's boots also lost a screw because weโ€ฆ
