Review on KitchenAid KEK1032SS Precision Gooseneck Digital Electric Kettle, Stainless Steel - Efficient and Convenient Boiling System for Perfect Pour-over Coffee and Tea by Cyndi Peters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lives under his name. Accurate control from temperature control to bottling. It also cooks fairly quickly.

I'm a beginner coffee maker familiar with the pourover method using Japanese products, upgraded from my kettle (Gator). After looking at all the reviews, I bought it because of its name (they make great blenders), the lack of reviews, and it was being sold here at a $40 discount. Some thoughts after the Gator stovetop cooker: 1. For me, it heats up faster than a stovetop cooker (60 to 200 degrees). I turn on the oven. It feels like 10 minutes. It's much faster and similar to 3-5. It also heats up to 200 degrees and doesn't overshoot my stovetop kettle (because I wasn't close enough to catch it there at the time) and there's a setting to keep it at 200.2. The pouring from this teapot is beautiful. Apparently there are different flow settings, but the default fill seems perfect for my fill needs. It looks and feels surprisingly smooth when you tilt it slowly, and fairly linear as you angle it up. The teapot spout has a small notch on the end which I think helps.3. It's well designed. Another thing I love about this teapot is the little soft feet underneath the teapot. With my hob, I installed it on a cooling rack after heating it up. T-shirts give me confidence when I put them on the counter. The top is holding up very well. The temperature display is large. The build of my version of this kettle is just reliable. Highly recommended for those who want to pour coffee and also good for tea.
