Review on Dorman 674 909 Manifold Chrysler Mitsubishi by Nick Beck

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This worked for me on manifolds and parts

I was a bit shocked at the roughness of the casting. Ha, looks like you won't confuse this header with an OEM header. It's definitely thicker and heavier, which could be a good thing. However, some of that weight is shed by dirt. The machined surface is pretty good, as is the flat, although I did find a bit of "rocker" in one spot when testing with a straight edge. The edges of the port were quite rough in several places. probably not enough to make a difference, but I sanded them down a bit with a dremel. Everything was going well and it was so nice that there wasn't an exhaust leak that I had to endure for too long. (My problem started with a broken rear manifold bolt, which was common on a 4.7 liter Dodge engine at about 100,000 miles or so. Mine has done about 110,000, but the right side is still fine. Mine was the original manifold badly deformed, probably from running it for so long with a burned out bolt.) My local auto parts store wanted almost double what I paid for this manifold here. The same brand. Barring any issues I would say it was a good buy.
