I've always had hand tension issues which resulted in the club face constantly opening up on impact. Its purpose is that you barely (lightly) grab the racquet during the swing and this prevents the racquet from flying out of your hands. I've been using it for a week and while monitoring my swing speed on the Optishot 2 golf simulator my swing speed has increased. I find that even without the Optishot information, my grip tension is less and the face rotates more. One star removed due to the size of the flange (the part that detaches from the stick handle that holds the stick in your hands) - I find it too big and sometimes rub my forearm which irritates it when it's not . perfectly adjusted.
