Review on πŸ’» Plugable AB Switch - USB 3.0 Sharing Switch for Instant One-Button USB Device or Hub Swapping Between Two Computers by Samuel Nguyen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great when it works, mine is picky

Blue light keeps you from getting lost, but shit if you're sleeping in the same room with him, black tape comes to the rescue. Both MacBook and PC have issues with the light not switching to the other side even though the mouse and keyboard are active on the other computer (I connected a USB 3.0 hub). Also, sometimes I have to repeat twice to get another computer to recognize devices, but that's a minor inconvenience. Especially compared to the 4 I/O port shifter I had where there were 4 slots to try to reconnect through. This is light years ahead of connecting devices or even a hub between two computers. My monitor has audio out and accepts/switches audio from DP connected to my computer and HDMI from my Macbook. It also features EDID on all ports simultaneously for seamless switching between inputs. That was the last thing I needed, sorry it doesn't work very well but maybe I have a faulty module.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No instructions
