Bought these specifically for summer camping to avoid bug bites but still let the windows down. The mesh is thin enough to prevent invisibility (I'm sure) but strong enough to be pulled over a car window. The elastic stretched much further than I expected and fitted snugly around the rear windows of my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. I can permanently lower the tape so it sits under the window frame for maximum ventilation. They are very compact and easily fit in cup holders on the back seat. Important note: The sleeve does not have equal sides, it is cut to perfectly fit the long straight edge of the window on the hinge side and the curved edge on the door handle side. Make sure you line up the sides properly so you don't stress the seams. Just to be on the safe side I would recommend being careful when fitting them to your doors lest sharp corners tear the material. Good product!
