Error loading media. I work the door checking the temperature in a non-commercial theater. Only musicians and performers come to the theater, so far only online performances. We are all wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. Everyone's temperature is measured upon entering the theater. We are all afraid of contracting Covid-19. So far we've used a cheap, crappy handheld thermometer. If several people come at the same time, our handheld thermometer keeps failing. I've seen these forehead thermometers in hospitals in my daily work. I like it because you don't have to be standing next to someone to take their temperature. I found this while searching for Revain. It's literally plug and play. I took it out of the box, turned it on and it started taking the temperature. I had an old tripod that was scrapped, the swivel mount broke. This thermometer is screwed directly to the tripod. A full USB charge lasts a week on battery power. The app for this thermometer works great. It was installing 1,2,3. Even when I'm in other apps on my iPhone, it tracks the temperature. I heated some water to test +100 degrees. It does not display the temperature, just "HI" on the red LED display and beeps several times. You can change the temperature alarm in the app. Please note: If you do NOT want to hear a loud beep from the piezoelectric speaker every time you scan. There is a small hole just below the large LED indicator (on the left). Just cover it with a small piece of electrical tape. This makes the BEEP sound about 5% of the normal sound. The beeping of this thermometer drove the musicians crazy. hehe! Update: Much to my disappointment, after mounting this thermometer on a tripod, it started to shake and I couldn't attach it to the tripod. I unscrewed the three screws on the back, removed the back cover. I was SHOCKED to see that the tripod mount is just a square nut glued to the plastic inside. The hot glue peeled off the plastic so it didn't stay on the tripod. I had to make a mount to hold the thermometer securely on the tripod. Hot gluing a nut to the plastic inside is a very tricky technique. For the money I paid for this tripod. It should have been done better.
