Review on ShopSeries RK9011 3 5 Amp Oscillating Spindle by Joseph Adaymiln

I bought this as a tool I need to build recurve bows. That means I've spent a lot of hours on it over the past 1.5 years. I haven't had any problems so far, although it has been used extensively, even on very hard woods. The only thing I would like to improve is more power and more tabletop space. But for the price it works great. Update: Less than 2 years later the engine started smoking. I called Rockwell and they sent me a replacement as it was still under warranty. However, with the future I have planned, I don't think this device will be able to survive the hours of grinding that I will be going through as well. So I did a little research and settled on the Grizzly Ground Unit (G1071) which costs MUCH more but is rated for thousands of hours of use. This is a monstrous machine. So I would recommend this Rockwell block for light hobbies as it is very useful to have in store for certain operations. However, if the hobby turns into hours of use, it may not withstand the workload. Rockwell is to be commended for customer service and honoring warranties.
